Please... Serious ltr minded Christian women only

Male (43) looking for Female Portland, Oregon, United States

I've been serving Portland's homeless for many years, now. Investing in people is my most passionate pursuit. I've been single for just about the last eight years, and too involved to chase random dates. I don't drink, or think too highly of the bar scene. I'm a smoker, but with the right person in my corner, I'll give up those cigarettes:). I have no children, but I'm no stranger to helping raise them. Please, don't judge a divorcee, but I've been married once, and I'm only saying that to say this: I understand the unique challenges involved in parenting in a blended family, and I am not afraid to take on that responsibility--under the right circumstances.

Always wanted to tryIn the army, I was a paratrooper. I want to do some jumps just for fun. Ever see footage of those guys parachuting into that cave in South America? I picture me there, going on an extended spelunk (cave exploration), then camping out in the wilderness for a couple days before coming back in.

Goal in lifeTo serve the Lord by serving people. I love serving the homeless and low-income people here in and around Portland, as well as continuing to become an even greater asset to my employer, but what I really want to do is become a good husband, and eventually, a good father.

Must haveIntelligence, Good Looks, Humor, Empathy, Sensitivity, Spontaneity, Wit, Thoughtfulness
Look for in a partnerI'm hoping to meet someone who is a prayer warrior, a woman who will agree with me before God in support of friends, family, godly leaders-the issues of life. I need a girl who isn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and get involved in service--taking on the not-so-glamorous "behind the scenes" (often thankless) tasks service that most people take for granted. The girl I'm talking about is also a gracious hostess, one who puts her own concerns aside so she can truly listen to the people she serves, making them feel at ease and just be themselves in her company.
On the first dateA Christian concert with friends would be a comfortable place to start, I think. Perhaps before that, though, taking her out to lunch--or even a dinner after the show if it doesn't run too late. I would be pretty comfortable going to an outside event if the weather is good, like a circus or even Oaks Park, or the Rose Festival--stuff like that.
